A few broken glass pieces tumble down from the window above where some panes have swirls and others are broken. All still in the pinkish gradient. on the left side is a leafy plant growing our of a swirled vase, also of course pink to purple. behind is a grayish crowd of human silhouettes. behind them is a large black circle that they may be entering or exiting.

I made this in one of my favourite ways to make a painting/drawing. I started with one thing i wanted to draw, the camera, and dug for inspiration from there for more elements.
For me this piece expresses the sometimes lovely, confusing, ominous, and vague qualities of memory. It’s like finding a picture from your past and not recognizing the face staring out at you, remembering that one wonderful moment that you’re not sure you’ll ever get again, or dreaming something so real yet entirely nonsensical when you’re awake.
